My sister will be moving to her new home next month and she needs a good front door lock. It is great that you review the five best locks, so I do not have to look at so many of them out there. It is not easy to make a decision.

I like the Lockly Secure Pro Deadbolt where the locations of the numbers on the keypad are random. Also, it has a history of who used it.

Thank you for the information.

I have thought about an electronic lock for a while now, just never certain on which one to go for. Though I don’t use my front door often, there are times when it would be convenient to use it without a key. Was considering if a smart lock with an integrated camera would be a good option compared to having a separate camera installed.

How are they all powered – Do they all run off a battery charge? How long would a normal battery charges last?

They are all powered off of batteries, usually it’s 4 AA or AAA. Typically batteries in a smart lock last about 6 months to a year depending on number of uses. And batteries in  BlueTooth operated locks will last a little longer than locks that use WiFi because WiFi needs more power.

I have been looking for a digital lock for my new home. Not sure which one should I get among so many brands and models. Stumble upon your post, it seems like many people have used and reviews ZKTeco AL40B Smart Lock. The price is not too expensive too. It seems like a pretty straight forward digital lock, and it has 5 different open ways. I think I will consider getting this one.
